Save the Date We will have a Marriage Enrichment Seminar entitled Prelude to Joy: Making Your Marriage a Heavenly One, with Tom and Sandra Milholland of Abilene Christian University, on Saturday, November 7th. Mark your calendars!
SAMPACC SAMPACC has begun a new project, “Help a Child”. We will go into the elementary schools and tutor students by listening to them read or helping them with assignments. This will be a gratifying and helpful experience. Contact Phil Landrum. This will only take 30-45 minutes per week.
Weight Loss Class Tori Park is teaching a class called, “Healthy Lifestyle.” Invite your friends. Everyone is welcome.
Fall Festival Park Avenue’s Fall Festival will be Saturday afternoon, October 31, from 1-3 PM. There will be games, fun eats, hayrides and more! If you wish to donate candy or healthy snacks, please feel free to leave the items in the kitchen. Thank you so much. Tina Martin
Hearing Devices Just a reminder that Hearing Devices are available at the information booths.
“Bounties for Thanksgiving” Our annual “Bounties for Thanksgiving” food drive is now officially underway. If you would check the food tabs posted on the main hallway wall and remove the tabs of the food items you can bring, we would greatly appreciate it. Tables will be set up to receive your donations. The ending date for the drive will be November 29th. Thanks for your cooperation in this ministry.
Yard Sale There will be a yard sale to benefit the Bounds Family on Saturday, October 17, starting at 7 AM at Healthline, 1414 W. Houston St., Sherman, Contact Amyee McAlister.
Wednesday Supper A special PAWS (Park Avenue Wednesday Supper) will be given next Wednesday evening, October 21, at 6 PM to benefit the Bounds Family.
Bridal Shower Elise Beal will be honored with a bridal shower on Sunday, October 25, from 2-3:30 at the church building. All ladies are invited. Elise and Chase Horn are registered at Target, Dillards, and Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
Teacher’s Banquet All teachers are reminded of the Banquet in your honor on Sunday, November 15, after morning services at Tanglewood.
Middle School Retreat Alll middle school students are invited to a retreat the weekend of November 21-22. Sign up in the youth suite.
Technology Seminar Wes will be teaching a seminar on Technology to help parents familiarize themselves with Facebook, MySpace, Internet Filters, and general safety with today’s technology. Tomorrow evening, from 7-8:30 PM here at the church building.
