Sympathy Our sympathy is extended to Kevin Dale in the loss of his Aunt Nat Watson and his Uncle, Wade Brown. Also, please remember David and Mary Beal whose son in law passed away. Michael McGehee’s Uncle, Keith Beaubien, passed away, and Michael was very close to his Uncle. Please keep all these families in your prayers this week.
Save the Date We will have a Marriage Enrichment Seminar entitled Prelude to Joy: Making Your Marriage a Heavenly One, with Tom and Sandra Milholland of Abilene Christian University, on Saturday, November 7th. Mark your calendars! Poinsettias As you know we have helped the family of Jennifer Jenkins in the past and they could use some help now. The family is selling Poinsettias. They are huge and beautiful. Each pot comes with the decorative foil liner with four plants in the pot. They will have 16-20 blooms and the colors available are red, white, pink and marble. Fall Festival Make plans to be at Park Avenue’s Fall Festival on Saturday, October 31 from 1-3 pm. There will be games, fun eats, hayrides and more! If you would be willing to help with this please contact Tina Martin. If you wish to donate candy or healthy snacks, please feel free to leave the items in the kitchen.
“Bounties for Thanksgiving” Our annual “Bounties for Thanksgiving” food drive is now officially underway. If you would check the food tabs posted on the main hallway wall and remove the tabs of the food items you can bring we would greatly appreciate it. Tables will be set up to receive your donations. The ending date for the drive will be November 29th. Thanks for your cooperation in this ministry.
Wedding Shower There will be a Wedding Shower for Elise Beal and Chase Horn on October 25 from 2-3:30. All ladies are invited. They are registered at Target, Dillards, & Bed Bath & Beyond.
SAMPACC The November meeting of SAMPACC will be at 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 12. We will have a special presentation on how to properly administer CPR. We feel this is something everyone needs to know how to do so please come and enjoy the fellowship, food, and presentation by Mike Reynolds. Anyone interested in this presentation is invited to attend. Finger foods will be served.
Fall Back Next Sunday, November 1, will be our time to set the clocks back an hour on Saturday night.
