Area Wide Youth Praise Night tonight!
This evening we will not have our Middle School and High School small groups. Instead we will head to McKinney for an Area Wide Youth Praise Night at the High Pointe Church of Christ. We will leave the building at 4:15 and return around 8:30. Hopefully you have already signed up in the youth suite but if you’d like to go and have not, please let me know this morning. The cost for the event is $4 and we plan to stop for Ice Cream on the way back, so you might bring a few dollars for that. I hope you will make plans to join us for a terrific night of praise, food, fun and fellowship.
Middle School Retreat
November 21-22 will be our Middle School Retreat. All 6th - 8th graders are invited to this incredible weekend. We’ll be joined by other area churches and our theme is: The “Good” Retreat. I can’t wait to tell you what that’s all about. Parents, this is one of those “core events” that I mentioned at our Parents’ Meeting. If there’s any way your child can be a part of this weekend, I encourage you to help make that happen. I know a lot of things compete for our time, but this event, I believe, is worth altering plans to be a part of. The cost is $25, and you need to pay at the time of sign up. I hope each of our Middle Schoolers can be a part of this weekend!
No Word Up This Week
We’ll take a break from our study this Monday Night but will resume next week.
Middle School Coke Day
On Tuesday, November 10th, I will pick up Middle Schoolers at B.McDaniel at 3:30 in the church bus and take them to Braums for a Coke Day. Students should bring money for ice cream or soda. Parents, you can pick your child up at Braums around 4:45. This is a terrific activity to invite your friends to be a part of. I hope you’ll join us.
